When you navigate to the "Your updates" page, you'll easily spot the latest alerts under the "Your updates" section. This gives you a quick overview of recent updates within your organisation. Now, let's explore how to set up a new alert.

Note
Please note that users with the roles of Administrator, Driver Manager, Charging Manager, and Technician can access and set up alerts.

2. How to Set up a New Alert

Locate the "Available actions" on the right side of the page to create a new alert. Click on " Manage alerts". You will see "+ Add alert". Just give it a click.

To add an alert, you'll need to provide an alert name and a description and choose the relevant organisation.

3. Trigger rules

You can set specific rules to activate the alert. You can set it to trigger based on changes in station status, error codes sent by stations, or various charging session parameters such as price, average power, duration, and consumption.

You can easily select the appropriate option from the "Data status" drop-down menu to set the trigger alert rule. You can refine the trigger rule using the "Value" drop-down menu. Let's take a closer look at each of these options:

1. Error code

This allows you to trigger alerts based on specific errors associated with the charging stations, including Suspended EV, Suspended EVSE, Connector Lock Failure, EV Communication Error, and Ground Failure.

3. Security Event Notification

Ensure the safety of your charging stations by setting up alerts for security events. This feature includes 'Tamper detection' and 'Invalid Firmware Signature'. The 'Invalid Firmware Signature' alert notifies you when someone tries to update the firmware of a charger with an invalid firmware file. Read more about adding firmware files from here.

Our advanced notification system immediately springs into action to alert you, ensuring that you stay in the loop and can take appropriate action.
