3.4 How to manage billing and settlements

As a charging point owner, you have the control to set the pricing for charging at your station.

This guide walks you through the simple process of how to manage your billing and settlements easily. 

Let's start with the billing process:

 

1. Billing process

  1. You have control over setting the charging prices at your station.

  2. Your station will be visible on the Virta app's map and list view, making it easy for EV drivers to locate it.

  3. EV drivers purchase their charging sessions directly through the Virta app, and we cover the payment service provider (PSP) fee.

  4. We take care of handling VAT payments in countries where charging sessions occur, such as Finland, with a VAT rate of 24%.

  5. We also calculate the total charges from your stations and pay you monthly through a self-billing invoice.

2. Managing Billing and Settlements

To manage your billing and settlements, log in to the Virta Hub and head to the "Organisation" tab. Click "Billing and Settlements" in the navigation bar. This will take you to the corresponding page, where you can handle all your billing needs.

3. General Information

You'll find two fields to fill in the necessary information on the "Billing and settlement" page. First, under "General Information," provide your organisation's basic billing details, such as contact information, phone number, email, etc.

Next, you'll need to specify the billing type: email or e-invoice. This preference will determine how you receive your billing information.

Once you've completed the General Information section, it's time to enter your settlement information.

 

4. Settlement Information

Click on the "Settlement Information" button on the right side of the page. Here, you can see your billing and settlement information.

If you need to make any changes to your settlement details, users with Administrator and Financial support roles can easily modify IBAN and SWIFT/BIC fields by clicking the fields.
To make any other changes, please contact Virta support for further assistance.
