Hello and welcome!
This video tutorial and article will guide you through everything you need to know about the pool of charging stations. We'll explain:
- How to create and add a pool of charging stations
- How to edit a pool of charging stations
- How to move a charging station into a pool
- How to delete a pool of charging stations
Let's start!
Note:
When you're setting up a pool of chargers, please make sure that all the stations in that pool share the same location ID and coordinates. If you use different location IDs for stations in the same pool, you might notice that the pool doesn't show up on the Virta mobile app.
1. How to create and add a pool of charging stations
To create a pool of charging stations, follow these simple steps:
Log in to the Virta Hub and navigate to the "Stations" tab > "All stations".
You'll find the "Add pool or station" button on the bottom right side of the page. Just give it a click.
You will be directed to the corresponding page. Simply click "Add new pool" button.
Once you click the "Add new pool" button, you will be taken to the corresponding page where you can easily import the essential information for your station pools, including their name, opening hours, time zone, basic details, location information, and GPS coordinates. This will help you set up your charging infrastructure smoothly and efficiently.
After you've provided location information, the next step is to complete the "Technical Installation" section. To begin, please make sure to choose the correct electrical feed under "Pool Electrical Feed." You'll need to have an electrical feed for each pool to ensure they get the power they need. You can find more details on how to add electrical feed here.
In the "Electricity Information" section, simply enter your energy contract type, such as "Fixed Price Contract," "Time of Use Tariff," "Dynamic Price Contract," or any other type.
Note:
If your charging pool is in Finland, knowing the energy source supplied for charging stations is essential for sustainability purposes and specialized energy management services. To move forward, please provide your energy contract information. Read more about how to add energy contract details here. If you want to update your energy contract and add a new energy contract, please remember to assign it to all related electrical feeds in the charging pool once more.
After entering all the necessary information for setting up your pool, simply scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the "Add new pool" button. This will finalise the process and add your new pool to the system.
Now that you have successfully set up your pool, you can easily add stations. Just return to the "Add pool or station" page and look for the "Add new station" button.
Once your stations are physically connected, all you need to do is enter the ID number and choose the corresponding pool from the drop-down menu. Click the "Add and close" button, and voila! You have now successfully added your station to the station pool.
Next, let's see how to edit and modify the charging stations:
2. How to edit a pool of charging stations
To access, edit, and customise your chargers' pool, simply head back to the "Stations" tab. There, you'll find a list of your chargers' pools. On this page, you can filter your pool of chargers based on charging points and check their availability, technical information, model, and any other details you may need.
To modify a specific pool, click on it and press the arrow on the right side to open its overview page.
This overview page provides all the essential information, including location details, technical installation, basic info, contact information, and pool usage.
You can edit the pool's name by simply clicking on it. If you want further modifications, look for the "Edit pool" option on the right side.
Remember to apply your changes by clicking the "Save changes" button at the bottom of the page.
3. How to move a charging station into a pool
To relocate a charging station, follow these simple steps:
- Navigate to the Station Tab
- Select the station you'd like to move.
- Locate the "Edit station" on the top right side and give it a click.
-
Select the pool where you want to relocate the station from the drop-down list.
- Select the relevant electrical feed for the station. If the pool has only one electrical feed, the station will automatically return to that feed.
- Fill in the relocation of the station. You will see the station in its new pool with the associated electrical feed once the relocation is complete. You have now successfully relocated your charging station.
Note:
Please note that selecting electrical feed is currently required for pools located in Finland. If you haven't specified the energy contract and electrical feed for the pool and stations, any attempt to save changes will not be successful.
4. How to delete a pool of charging station
If, for any reason, you need to remove a pool, just locate the "Delete the pool" option on the right side under "Available actions." You'll be able to delete a charging station pool as long as no charging stations are currently assigned to it. If there are stations in the pool, they should be relocated out first.
That's it! It's as simple as that. Now you're all set to confidently create, access, edit, and delete your charger pools.
Happy managing your charging stations!
