This article walks you through understanding how you can add one or multiple stations to your network. Importing multiple stations at once is useful in cases where you already have a network of charging stations installed or if you are planning to install a bigger batch of charging stations during a short time period.
We will cover:
1. Where to find the functionality for adding new stations
2. Which roles can add new stations
3. The flow of adding a single stations
4. The flow of mass importing multiple stations
5. The most common errors
Let's start!
You will always need to have a pool ready to welcome your new stations. If you haven't created a pool yet, please read How to create a new pool.
Click on the "Stations" menu at the bottom of the page. Then, click on "Add pool or station" button at the bottom right of the page. Remember that you need to have Administrator, Driver manager, Charging manager or Technician role to be able to add stations to the system.
A pop-up menu will appear on the right side of the page. Select if you want to add a single station or add multiple at once and select the flow accordingly.
The pop-up menu will change to let you add the station's details. Fill in the information for your station's Identity and select the Pool where the station should be added. Then, click on the "Update and close" button.
For station mass import, you can import multiple stations to different pools with csv file. Currently our system support only csv format. Please refer to example csv file which you can download from the station mass import flow. Attributes your csv need to have are the following ones:
Identity |
Vendor |
Model |
Connector |
Name |
Max power |
VPN |
SIM number |
Current |
Pool ID |
Seller ID |
Custom EVSE ID |
All done! Your station (and all its charging points) will be added to the pool you've selected and you can now find it under it in the Find menu.
Getting an error? There are several reasons why you might not be able to add a specific station.
- Please double check that you are entering the exact identity that the charger is sending to our system. Remove any extra characters or empty spaces.
- Check if the identity of the charger includes special characters (e.g. *). In some cases this leads to problems caused by the device sending OCPP messages to an incorrect URL. Remove the special characters by accessing the configuration interface of your charger and try adding it again with the updated identity.
If that doesn't do the trick, we recommend you get in touch with the customer service at the company that has sold you the charging device.
